Kristina Mucha
Clarinet, Saxophone
Kristina Mucha is an honest and compelling clarinetist who grew up in Downers Grove, IL. A recent graduate of Roosevelt University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Clarinet Performance, Kristina has had the opportunity to study with some of Chicago’s most renowned clarinetists, her most recent mentors being Todd Levy, John Bruce Yeh, and Teresa Reilly. Although she primarily trained as an orchestral and chamber musician, during her graduate studies she developed a passion for contemporary music. In March of 2023, she delivered a dynamic solo performance exclusively featuring the works of living, female-identifying composers. In August of 2023, she began her first season with the Naperville Winds. In addition to being a performer, she teaches private instrumental and music theory lessons and is an adjunct professor of Music History at Roosevelt University. Kristina’s mission is to celebrate inclusivity and (self) compassion in performance and education.
